Like its big brother: the Alpina Carapax Jr. is inspired by the adult model and promises optimal protection on the trails for all young mountain bikers. Its light weight, maximum head coverage, and extensive features give it an excellent price-performance ratio. The low weight is achieved through in-mold construction, in which the outer shell is thermally bonded to the Hi-EPS. This creates a strong surface connection, resulting in a very stable construction.

The lower edge of the helmet is protected by the additional Edge Protect polycarbonate shell. Furthermore, the rear and temple areas extend further down for maximum safety on rough trails, providing even greater head coverage. Large ventilation openings ensure optimal airflow, insect nets keep bugs away, and the visor guarantees optimal protection for the eyes.

The Run System Classic, combined with the height-adjustable Custom Fit, allows the bicycle helmet to be adjusted to the head. The Carapax Jr. can also be optionally retrofitted with the Multi-Fit Light rear light for improved visibility.

• Ceramic Shell: shatterproof and scratch-resistant polycarbonate shell; UV-stable and antistatic
• In-Mold Tec: under high pressure and intense heat, the inner shell is foamed under the outer shell; significantly improved ventilation systems and vents are possible; lighter helmet.
• Hi-EPS: The inner shell is made of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene); despite optimal protective effect, this ensures extra-thin wall thicknesses and narrow helmet shapes.
• Edge Protect: reinforcement attached to the lower edges of the helmet; increased safety in the event of a side impact and protection against damage in everyday use.
