At the extreme fringes of cycling, there are athletes who push their bodies and equipment to the absolute limits. Ultra-long distance, but ultra-fast. We call these rides Big, Stupid Rides, and since the introduction of the Caledonia in 2020, athletes around the world have been exploring just how brilliantly stupid these rides can be. The Caledonia-5 is designed for long-distance racing and high speeds – its riding position and handling are focused on comfort without sacrificing the classic Cervélo road bike feel.

With the new Caledonia-5, we focused on improvements that make a difference when you're pushing your limits. The biggest innovation is the integrated frame storage compartment, first introduced on the new P-Series. It's not a trunk for bulky gear, but rather offers space for a multi-tool, inner tube, and CO2 cartridge. We've also improved comfort. The seat stays are lowered, similar to the Aspero, resulting in a slacker and more vertically compliant rear end. At the same time, the downtube is slightly stiffer to maintain the agile handling that the Caledonia is known for. You can still fit wide tires (36 mm), and every bike comes with fender mounts.
