Under the hashtag #Mission Hybrid, DT Swiss is addressing the special demands that E-MTBs place on their components. The high torque of the motor and the comparatively significantly higher system weight puts a lot more strain on your wheels on tough trails, both uphill and downhill, than on a normal mountain bike without electronic support. Thanks to many years of experience in wheel construction and modern testing and analysis methods, DT Swiss has developed special hybrid components that far surpass conventional MTB components in terms of their resilience and resistance - and all without being overweight.

With the rear HX 1501 Spline® ONE 30 system wheel from DT Swiss, you can concentrate on the trail at all times. It feels at home even on rough terrain and, thanks to the combination of the 240 Spline® hub specially developed for E-MTBs with the extremely strong DT hybrid spokes and the extra reinforced rim, it is an E-mountain bike dream made of aluminum!

The full 30 mm inner rim width also creates a large tire volume, which means you will always find more than enough grip - whether on loose gravel ramps uphill or on rooty traverses downhill!

Technologies:

• • HYBRID HUB:
• All DT Swiss HYBRID hubs have oversized housings with increased wall thickness, are equipped with heavy-duty axles and have extra reinforced spoke mounts as well as oversized bearings and steel freewheel bodies. In addition, the rear hub models with ratchet freewheel system (350, 240) are equipped with reinforced 24-tooth toothed discs made of hardened steel. These optimizations allow a permissible system weight of up to 150 kg with only a slight increase in weight compared to a standard DT MTB hub. The result is a hub that can handle very high torques, offers direct propulsion and, combined with the other HYBRID components, produces extremely robust wheels.
• • HYBRID-SPOKES:
• The DT Swiss HYBRID system requires spokes that not only withstand the higher weight and torque of a modern E-MTB, but also fit perfectly with the oversized spoke mounts of the company's own HYBRID hubs. The specially designed spokes have reinforced and oversized straight-pull spoke heads, which, together with the DT Pro Lock Squorx nipples, ensure that the combined power of the rider and motor is also converted into propulsion.
• • HYBRID-RIM:
• Lots of elevation and depth meters in rough terrain on the E-MTB mean a very hard life for the rims. DT Swiss HYBRID rims have proven rim profiles with load-optimized cross-sections and are approved for a system weight of up to 150 kg. For maximum stability, the strength and material thickness have been increased wherever it makes sense. With this reinforcement, DT Swiss Hybrid rims can withstand up to 20% higher spoke tightening forces compared to DT Enduro rims.
• • RATCHET SYSTEM:
• The Ratchet System from DT Swiss has proven itself to be extremely reliable. This reliability is the result of the teeth of two high-precision toothed discs meshing simultaneously, which distributes the forces evenly over a large contact area. With the DT Swiss Ratchet System, two conical springs ensure the correct alignment of the toothed discs. The pressure angle depends on the number of teeth. The no-tool concept allows for easy maintenance and tool-free conversion to common axle and freewheel body standards.
• • TUBELESS:
• All DT Swiss wheels are tubeless-ready. The profiles of the DT Swiss rims are specially designed for tubeless use. The rim profile makes it easier to mount the right tire and ensures a perfect fit. The rim's tubeless system consists of DT Swiss Tubeless Ready Tape rim tape for sealing and a DT Swiss Tubeless valve in the rim's length. When using tubeless ready tires, the use of a compatible sealant is mandatory. However, it is also possible to use a conventional combination of tire and tube.
• • WAREHOUSE:
• Thanks to years of experience, DT Swiss only uses durable industrial bearings without bearing clearance adjustment. DT Swiss hubs are designed to have the optimal axial and radial bearing clearance without adjustable bearing clearance when the hubs are installed correctly. The correct preload of the bearings to compensate for the clamping force of the wheel mounting system is the basis for a play-free hub with minimal friction.
• • PRO LOCK®:
• DT Pro Lock® prevents the spoke-nipple connection from coming loose. In the Pro Lock® process, a special two-component adhesive is injected into the nipple thread, which enables the construction of particularly durable wheels. The adhesive is activated as soon as the nipple is screwed in and hardens completely after a few hours. Re-centering is possible, although the adhesive strength decreases slightly with each re-centering.
• • PHR:
• The PHR (Pro Head Reinforcement) system increases the load-bearing surface of the nipples on the rim, thereby reducing local loads. Load peaks are reduced, allowing DT Swiss to use lighter rims. The shape of the PHR washers also acts as a ball joint and automatically aligns the specific DT Squorx Pro Head ball head nipples with the spoke, reducing the risk of spoke breakage or rim cracking.
