The Performance Series forks retain the same black anodized 7000 Series aluminum stanchions as the Performance Elite, except they are paired with a GRIP damper. Push-button traps are not included but can be purchased separately.

FLOATING AXLE:

While thru-axles look like other axles, they offer a significant performance advantage due to their unique ability to precisely match the width of the fork wheel mounting surface to the front hub flange spacing, creating perfect chassis alignment and eliminating unwanted friction between the upper and lower fork legs. Oscillating axles provide a much smoother suspension movement throughout the fork's travel, specifically improving sensitivity and overall ride quality.

The all-new 36 and 38 feature a new, patent-pending, lever-operated quick-release thru-axle system that combines the benefits of a floating axle with the ease of fast, tool-free removal. This system locks the spacing via a floating sleeve, allowing for repeated removal and installation of the front wheel while maintaining perfect fork alignment. The floating sleeve positioning is preset at the factory, so if you don't know how to use a thru-axle or simply don't want to worry about it, you can simply install the front wheel and ride.

Available as an option is the new Kabolt-X, a lightweight, bolt-on thru-axle exclusive to the all-new 36 and 38 models. It not only reduces weight but also increases torsional rigidity thanks to its single-sided, sleeveless clamp-bolt design. The chassis alignment must be readjusted each time the front wheel is removed and reinstalled on Kabolt-X and 40 swing axles, but the end result is the same: perfect alignment and perfect performance.

LOWER LEG BYPASS CHANNELS

Increasing the air volume in the lower legs reduces the amount of additional unintended pressure buildup. The lower fork leg bath oil also circulates through the upper fork legs, continuously lubricating the rings and foam rings as the fork is retracted and extended throughout its travel.

LOWER LEG VENT

Allows air pressure equalization for better fork performance, helps achieve full travel and increases sensitivity and responsiveness to small bumps.

GRIP2

Unmatched ride quality and ultra-precise tuning. Allows external adjustment of suspension performance through our patented Variable Valve Control (VVC) technology.

SWIMMER DEVELOPMENT

Optimizes small-bump sensitivity by increasing the volume of the negative air spring. Its linear spring curve provides softness from the top, additional support in the mid-stroke, and a more adjustable bottom-to-top progression.
