Does anyone actually have their arms stretched out when going downhill? We certainly don't. That's why ION has pre-shaped the E-Pact with a bending angle of almost 90°. This fit prevents creases and the mesh material from cutting into the crook of the arm, which can lead to premature fatigue. Since freedom of movement is essential for intuitive steering maneuvers, the E-Pact uses a combination of viscoelastic foam and hard shell. The high-quality HD memory foam adapts perfectly to the contours of the body and has proven its durability over years in ION kitesurfing hip belts. The hard shell takes the fear out of sharp stones, distributes the kinetic energy of an impact over a large area and makes the protector look slim thanks to the thin padding used.
