ION's first-class, race-oriented clipless bike shoe. The Rascal Select offers much more than uncompromising power transfer to the pedal: Its construction combines rigidity in the longitudinal axis with flexibility in the transverse axis and in the shaft. This torsional construction principle helps prevent the foot from tipping over on the pedal. Special climbing and pedal zones on the running surface ensure reliable grip both on and off the pedal. The BOA® Fit System on the upper instep ensures quick, effortless and precise adjustment of the fit. Thanks to this system, a seamless connection between equipment and rider can be created, thus speed and agility. The inner lining, which is roughened in one direction, keeps the heel where it belongs - in the shoe. Since the Rascal Select is designed for downhill-oriented riding, ION has placed the cleat area further back compared to all-mountain-oriented shoes. The cushioning EVA midsole absorbs shocks and vibrations, while the rubberized heel and reinforced toe cap absorb forces if your foot gets caught on stones or roots. The asymmetrically shaped shaft protects the foot on the crank side and still offers full freedom of movement. The robust PU main fabric ensures durability and a long lifespan of this premium shoe. Breathable mesh inserts in the forefoot area ensure a pleasant climate in the shoe.

• SupTraction_Rubber Soul CL with reinforced shaft: We focused primarily on the design and rubber compound of the sole. We thought that it was still lacking in strength. That's why we reinforced the shaft in the sole to achieve more strength. As befits a high-end trail shoe.
• Rubberized heel cap for additional protection
• Ankle_Pad: Higher shaft on the inside with additional padding to protect the lower ankle.
• Nonslip_Heel: Precise fit without slipping. While the inner lining feels velvety soft when you put it on, it shows its rough side if your foot slips out of the shoe while you're riding. The roughened structure of the material on one side prevents this from happening.
• Robust PU combined with breathable mesh in the toe area
• ToeTal_Protection: Reinforced toe cap to protect the forefoot in contact with roots or stones.
