Design and functionality from a single source: The new DBX 5.0 All Mountain Jacket is the benchmark when it comes to hardshell functional jackets. The three-layer HydraDri makes it breathable and waterproof (water column up to 30,000mm) and has sealed seams and welded zippers. It also offers large ventilation openings on the sides and is reinforced with material on the elbows and shoulders. With the new Hood Retention System, the hood stays exactly where it belongs. Three sewn magnets help to store the jacket conveniently and safely when the weather is nice. In harsher weather conditions, the hood can be attached to the helmet using a retrofittable magnet and stays in place even at higher speeds. The two large front pockets and a small pocket on the left sleeve offer enough space to safely store all important items and the lift ticket. Thanks to the special cut of the DBX 5.0 Jacket, there is also space for a protector jacket underneath. In addition, the hood, waistband and sleeves can be easily adjusted to suit your needs using a drawstring or Velcro fastener.

Hood retention system
To ensure that the hood stays exactly where it belongs, all DBX jackets are equipped with a magnetic hood attachment. The unique system consists of four cleverly placed magnets. Three of them are sewn invisibly into the jacket (between the shoulders, on the back and front of the hood), the fourth is attached to the helmet.
If you don't need the hood, thanks to the magnets it can be practically folded up and stowed away without flapping around wildly while cycling. In harsher weather conditions, the hood's magnets on half-shells or full-face helmets provide a firm hold, even at high speeds.
