Maxxis first real gravel bike tire.

The Rambler has the volume you need for good comfort and the profile you need for speed and control. The closely spaced center studs are beveled and therefore roll optimally on hard surfaces, while open side studs ensure predictable cornering behavior in different ground conditions.

Tubeless Ready (TR)

Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of a puncture is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for installation with sealant than other tubeless ready tires.

The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless installation is successful on all rims with standard dimensions, even after the first inflation and with little liquid. Normal MAXXIS MTB tires can also be installed tubeless with sealant, just like tires from other manufacturers, because the carcass fabric is very dense.

Only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless installation and guaranteed by MAXXIS. Tubeless installation of other models is at your own risk.

Note: We strongly advise against using sealant that contains ammonia. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and, depending on the amount used, can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months.

SilkShield

SilkShield provides Silkworm protection all around, from rim edge to rim edge, preventing cuts and other defects on the tire sidewalls and under the tread.

DualCompound

Two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. We plan the arrangement of the compounds according to the desired properties of the tires.
