The latest tire in our long line of XC tires that have already won a World Cup race. The RekonRace achieved this as a prototype almost a year before the series launch with Nino Schurter in Mont Saint-Anne.

This fast semi slick tire has a similar profile to the all-round XC tire Rekon, but with smaller and lower studs.

Use it as a rear tire along with a more treaded tire like the Rekon or Ikon on the front. Or front and rear for short track racing and light fast racing courses.

NEW: The 2.40WT variant is ideal for rim inner widths of 25mm to 30mm.

Technology:

EXO Protection: This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. This means that the performance of the tires remains consistently impressively good.

TUBELESS READY: Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure and therefore have better traction, the rolling resistance is lower than with a tube, and where there is no tube, the risk of a puncture is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for installation with sealant than other tubeless ready tires, because the bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber like a real UST tubeless tire.

This means that tubeless installation is successful on all rims that comply with standard dimensions, with the first inflation and with little liquid. Normal MAXXIS MTB tires can also be installed tubeless with sealant, just like tires from other manufacturers, because the carcass fabric is very dense. Only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless installation and guaranteed by MAXXIS. Tubeless installation of other models is at your own risk.
