Maxxis has implemented its dual compound rubber in the further developed tire. The different layers in the tread blocks, with their respective degrees of hardness, are designed to ensure less rolling resistance, a long service life and better grip. The low weight is achieved by the well-known fine 60 TPI carcass. Initial test drives confirm that the structure of the tire and the individual tread blocks are suitable for loose and hard surfaces.

Tubeless Ready (TR)

Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of a puncture is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for installation with sealant than other "tubeless ready" tires. The bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, just like a real UST tubeless tire.

This means that tubeless installation is successful on all rims with standard dimensions, even after the first inflation and with little liquid. "Normal" MAXXIS MTB tires can also be installed tubeless with sealant, like tires from other manufacturers, because the carcass fabric is very dense. However, only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless installation and guaranteed by MAXXIS. Tubeless installation of other models is at your own risk.

Note: We strongly advise against using sealant that contains ammonia. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and, depending on the amount used, can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months.

EXO Protection

This extremely cut and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. This means that the performance of the tires remains consistently impressively good.3C MaxxSpeed ​​Maxxis' fastest 3C compound for XC and some AllMountain / Enduro tires is designed for the lowest rolling resistance thanks to the hard base and the fast compound in the center of the tread, but with the grippy compound on the sides it also offers superior grip in curves, even in wet conditions.
