The Minion DHF combines proven elements such as bevelled studs for low rolling resistance and smooth running with cut studs for more grip. This makes it the perfect all-rounder for enduro and freeride use. With its excellent straight-line stability and cornering stability, it offers a clearly defined limit range, making it a recommendation for everyone.

Wide Trail Casing (WT)

This special carcass construction optimizes the profile layout and the tire shape on today's modern, wider rims. Traditional tires are developed for narrow rims and have a shape that is too square on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance.

WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 40 mm.

Tubeless Ready (TR)

Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of a puncture is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for installation with sealant than other "tubeless ready" tires. The bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a layer of rubber, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless installation is successful on all rims with standard dimensions, even after the first inflation and with little liquid.

Even "normal" MAXXIS MTB tires can be mounted tubeless with sealant, like tires from other manufacturers, because the carcass fabric is very dense.

Only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless installation and guaranteed by MAXXIS. Tubeless installation of other models is at your own risk.

Note: We strongly advise against using sealant that contains ammonia. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and, depending on the amount used, can weaken it by up to 30% after just a few months.

Double Down

Doubledown tires are constructed like downhill tires: two carcass layers reinforced with a butyl insert in the sidewall. However, thanks to two 120 TPI (instead of 60 TPI) carcass layers and an aramid bead, they are lighter than downhill tires, significantly more stable and robust than TR + EXO tires and therefore ideal for tough enduro courses.

3C MaxxTerra

3C MaxxTerra is the optimal three-layer rubber compound for our enduro and freeride tires. This compound is characterized by smooth running uphill and excellent grip downhill, as well as a long service life.
