The Assegai is the ultimate downhill tire, which was co-developed by former downhill world champion Greg Minnaar. He incorporated all of his many years of racing experience into it. The basic idea behind it was to get the best out of the already known Maxxis profiles. The smooth-running studs from the Minion DHF and Minion DHR II were implemented in the middle of the tread. This gives excellent rolling on hard surfaces, but also grip on wet roots and stones. The slightly reshaped side studs of the HighRoller take care of fast corners. With these, you have a clearly defined limit range and enough reserves at all times. Finally, the Shorty adds its profile height and ensures sufficient traction even on deep forest floors. With this intelligent mix, you can really let it rip.
