We believe that children need a proper gravel bike, just like adults. The Rag Jr was one of the most difficult projects in a long time. Downsizing a gravel bike proved to be more difficult than expected, but it was worth investing time and energy into development. Notable features include an ergonomically designed cockpit, handlebars with optimal drop and reach, properly positioned hoods for small hands, downsized 35mm gravel tires with fast-rolling tread and short cranks with a narrow Q-factor. The geometry of the lightweight frame and fork took some time to adjust, and eventually NS arrived at values ​​that comfortably fit children 135cm to 150cm tall (a shorter stem needs to be fitted at the lower end of the range). Although getting used to a dropbar bike can take some time, the effort it takes to master the skills is worth it. This is especially true if you spend most of your time driving on fast, unpaved roads in relatively flat terrain. A child's radius of action on a mini gravel bike is much larger than on a mountain bike. In addition, full-length mudguards make it possible to ride comfortably even in wet conditions. The Rag Jr can also be of interest to children who want to try cyclocross as they can familiarize themselves with the riding position. In fact, Schwalbe makes special 26" cyclocross tires with a very aggressive tread pattern perfect for playing in the mud.
