The Shimano XT RD-M8100 12-speed rear derailleur is characterized by an elegant, yet aggressively angled design and an attractive anodized aluminum surface. New, large guide and tension pulleys with 13 teeth instead of the previous 11 ensure improved shifting performance. These also contribute to improving chain stabilization, as does the Shadow RD+ design with friction damper.
