With the new Specialized Alpinist CL II wheels you will feel your bike “come to life” thanks to the lightweight clincher rims and tubeless system. Resistance similar to MTB rims and a construction that allows you to take advantage of the reduced mass of the rim and spokes. The Alpinist CL II mounts the same rim as the Alpinist CLX II. A very slight increase in the force imprinted on the pedals results in immediate acceleration, you will be able to draw a perfect line in the turns while meeting everyone's resistance standards to surpass certification institutes almost twice. A pair of tubeless wheels with a weight of 1375 grams and a quality made for acceptable pressure in all types of races. Selected for their reliability and availability, Alpinist CL II components include easy-to-maintain DT Swiss 350 hubs with Star Ratchet system, 24 straight DT Swiss CompRace spokes and Pro Lock aluminum nipples. The reduced rolling resistance of the tubeless system is undeniable, as are the advantages in terms of handling and better puncture resistance. We carried out an intensive engineering and testing program for development. The result is a serrated rim that allows for pressures up to 110 psi and easy tire installation.
