The Chisel Comp is the lightest and fastest full suspension cross country bike ever. It's 18.4% lighter than the nearest competition and delivers noticeably fierce performance. Thanks to the Epic 8's advanced kinematics and geometry combined with the innovative D'Aluisio Smartweld technology, riders can get the most out of themselves on speed metal between the tape or just have a wicked good time on their home trails.
SPEED METAL: D'Aluisio Smartweld not only gives the Chisel its low weight, but also its unrivalled handling and ride quality. Each aluminum tube is specifically shaped for its position in the frame and has different wall thicknesses. This allows us to use stiffness and compliance specifically for efficiency, comfort and control.
PROGRESSIVE METALCORE: The Chisel with 110 mm rear wheel travel in Ride Dynamics Tune is related to the Epic 8, our race machine for the World Cup. It shares performance features such as the advanced kinematics, the suspension with Ride Dynamics Tune and the progressive geometry honed in the World Cup. The Chisel handles varied terrain with ease and inspires confidence so that riders can rock.
POWER METAL: The Chisel surprises with incredible efficiency when pedaling thanks to the geometry and kinematics of our World Cup-winning Epic 8. This makes it the most efficient full-suspension XC bike made of aluminum. The steep seat angle positions the rider centrally in the bike for optimal power transfer and the perfected anti-aquat reduces pedal kickback. The Chisel converts every watt on the pedals into maximum acceleration.
GROOVE METAL: We gave the Chisel flexible stays for maximum suspension performance. This and the D'Aluisio Smartweld design with its weight savings reduce the maintenance effort of the rear triangle enormously. Extensive field and lab testing have shown that the Chisel has achieved the impossible. Whereas flex stays were previously reserved mainly for carbon bikes, the Chisel with its specially shaped aluminum can easily keep up in terms of efficiency, control and low weight.
NO HEAVY METAL: The Chisel features a hydroformed seat tube that integrates the rocker pivot, main pivot and, in a truly innovative move, the bottom bracket shell. This saves extra material and weight compared to a traditional bike that has pivots and bottom bracket shell welded onto the seat tube.
