The 16° backsweep (backward bend) ensures a straight transition from the forearm to the hand, which is particularly important for handlebar widths of 700mm and over. The 10 mm stretch to the front almost compensates for the shortening caused by the 16° bend. The 5° upsweep (upward bend) brings the elbows into an optimal position for driving dynamics.
The best material, carefully and precisely bent and processed, make the SQlab 311 one of the highest quality handlebars on the market.
The bend of the 311 comes largely from motocross sport, where a similarly high backsweep and upsweep is used. Only when the ergonomics are 100% right is maximum speed with a correspondingly high strain on the body possible in the long term.
The handlebar is not approved for use in bike parks and downhill.
Also available with 27.0 clamp including sleeve for 31.8 stems. The smaller handlebar diameter increases the flex of the handlebar. The sleeve - optionally made of plastic or aluminum - ensures the optimal fit in the stem and prevents the notch effect of the stem.
