Triathletes are capable of suffering, yet seating discomfort is disproportionately common. The extreme seating position combined with long rides presents an ergonomic challenge.
The 613 R Ergowave's raised rear end doesn't quite place the pressure on the sit bones, but for the first time in triathlon, it does so toward the ischial ramus. The perineal area is relieved, and the additional rear support improves power transmission. A positive side effect is that it reduces skin irritation.
The 613 R ERGOWAVE doesn't just have any shape, but the perfect shape for the most challenging of all cycling positions. A total of 18 years of SQlab experience has gone into this innovation: from addressing a wide range of sit bone distances and anatomies to solving customer problems, the development of saddles is intended not only to provide more comfort and relief, but also to improve performance in competition.
