The G2 Ultimate is the ultimate pickup truck of mountain bike brakes. It's reliable, it goes everywhere, it always does what it's supposed to, it has plenty of power, and it's perfectly adjustable for every rider. The SRAM G2 Ultimate's range of applications extends from cross-country to freeride. The G2's design is directly based on the Code, resulting in perfect modulation and more than enough stopping power in every conceivable situation. The lever reach and free stroke of the carbon brake lever on the G2 Ultimate can be individually adjusted to your braking preferences, ensuring you have complete control even on the most challenging descents.

In the Ultimate version, SRAM engineers have uncompromisingly optimized the G2 brake for low weight and maximum braking power. It features a carbon brake lever that rotates on a special bearing to provide you with perfect feel at all times. The newly designed caliper has been optimized for maximum stiffness to translate even the slightest twitch of your fingers into perfectly modulated deceleration. The striking design is a perfect visual match for modern bikes.

To ensure the cleanest possible installation, the handlebar-mounted master cylinder is compatible with SRAM's proven Matchmaker system. This allows you to mount your brake, shifter, or remote for your dropper seatpost on a single clamp. Thanks to Bleeding Edge technology, you can also service and bleed the brakes quickly and easily.

When you pull your SRAM brake lever with SwingLink technology, you'll immediately notice the difference. The optimized actuation ensures a short free stroke and rapid contact of the brake pads with the disc. As soon as the pads touch your brake disc, a special cam perfectly modulates the braking force. This creates the optimal balance of power and control.
