For the new Red groupset, SRAM has put its proven Red Flattop chain on a diet. Thanks to a hollow-pin construction and milled recesses in the inner and outer plates, 13 grams of weight have been saved. The long lifespan and smooth running of the Red chain remain unchanged. This is ensured not only by the flattop design but also by a chrome coating on the inner plates and rollers.
